The Queen's Catacombs

At the start of January I came up with a rough outline for an adventure game exploring ruins. It would involve visiting this environment first then going off on a journey around some islands looking for different artefacts, returning them here and then that would open the final tomb.

It was definitely a good idea to go for a stylised approach as this has been my favourite environment project yet in UE4/5. I've used a couple of new things making this too, such as the method for the plants, the fire and the dust particles. I followed Rimaye's tutorial on YouTube to create the fire (including their free to download textures).

I also used ZBrush and Substance Designer properly for the first time on this project.

I still have numerous ideas for this "World" which I think i'll continue to work on even if it's only small environment locations.
