City of Khamoon

After the reveal of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis in December, I was inspired by the revealed concept art from the Egypt section of the game and decided to try and recreate the environment in Unreal Engine.

All the modular assets, sphinx, obelisk and small pots I sculpted in Blender and textured in substance painter, this included the ceiling tileable texture. I drew the hieroglyphs by hand in photoshop and applied those as decals. The falling sand is a simple scrolling grunge texture and the landscape uses RVT height blending to better help blend the floor assets with the floor textures.

Resources from textures.com were used for the wall blocks, floor slabs and sand textures. Also the small floor rocks.
All foliage assets are free megascans meshes.

Initial planning based on the original concept art from playtombraider.com, identifying key modular and bespoke assets. My first blockout of the environment is shown here also.
